Privacy Policy
Powerwash World is a free browser game at powerwashworld.cc, run by Mario Younis ("we", "us"). This page explains what information the game handles and why. The short version: you can play without an account and nothing about you is sent to us. If you choose to sign in with Google, we keep your saved game linked to your Google account so it follows you to other devices.
Playing without signing in
Your progress and settings are saved only in your own browser (local storage on your device). We do not receive them. If you install the game as an app, your browser also keeps a copy of the game files so it can open offline.
In the iPhone and iPad app
The iOS app runs entirely from files inside the app. It has no sign-in, no ads and no analytics, loads nothing from Google, and keeps your save only on your device. We collect no data from the app.
Signing in with Google (optional)
When you choose "Sign in with Google", Google asks you to share your basic profile. We ask only for the openid, email and profile permissions, never your contacts, files, or anything else in your Google account. From Google we receive:
- Your Google account ID, a number that identifies your account to us. We use it to find your saved game.
- Your first name and profile picture link, shown on the title screen so you can see which account you are using.
- Your email address, used only to check whether you are the game's owner (who has access to a testing switch). It is never stored on our servers, never shown to anyone, and never shared.
These are kept in a signed cookie on your device (see Cookies below), not in a database on our side. On our side we store one thing: your saved game (progress, coins, unlocks and game settings), stored in Cloudflare Workers KV under your Google account ID. Your profile picture is loaded directly from Google's servers when the title screen shows it.
Cookies and local storage
pw_session: set only when you sign in. It holds your Google account ID, first name, picture link and email address, signed so it can't be altered, and lasts up to 180 days or until you sign out.pw_oauth_state: a random value that protects the sign-in step. It lasts at most 10 minutes.- Local storage on your device holds your game settings, and your save while you are signed out.
We use no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.
Services that handle your data
- Cloudflare hosts the game and stores signed-in saves. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google handles sign-in if you use it, and serves the fonts the game uses (Google Fonts), which means your browser contacts Google's servers when the game loads. See Google's privacy policy.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent your information, show ads, run analytics, or share your data with anyone except the services above as needed to run the game. The game is free and has no purchases; the in-game store uses only coins earned by playing.
How long we keep it
A signed-in save stays until you ask us to delete it, or until we shut the game down. Signing out removes the session cookie from your device but does not delete the save in your account. Your browser's local save stays until you clear your site data or start a new game.
Your choices and rights
- Play without signing in, and nothing personal reaches us.
- Sign out at any time from the title screen or the pause menu.
- Ask us to see or delete your saved game by writing to mtfffg06@gmail.com. Tell us the name shown when you were signed in; we may ask you to sign in to confirm the account is yours.
- You can remove Powerwash World's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Powerwash World is a gentle game anyone can play without an account. Google sign-in is only for people old enough to have their own Google account under Google's rules and their local law. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has signed in, contact us and we will delete the save.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, the session cookie is signed and not readable by scripts, and saves can only be read or changed by the signed-in account they belong to. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we store to the minimum the game needs.
Changes
If the game starts handling information differently, we will update this page and the date at the top.
